This is our buddy John who invited us to hang with his family & friends. That monster ride was version 1..it is crazier now! That trailer in the background is part of the traveling in style I mentioned earlier.

Later John  showed us his fire starting techinque...not bad compared to the cubscout lessons I teach Martin!

Speaking of Martin this is him strapped into that mean & fast machine in the pic above. He & I were both having a blast until the lunch menu included large amounts of eating sand dunes.

Just in case you were worrying that Nathan was left out of the fun...here he is strapped down into the rail of John's friend Jeff. Jeff's ride might be smaller but there is a reason they talk about light & nimble. Of course those open sides let Nathan get up close & personal with the dunes.


It is a wide open place to play and very difficult to capture on film the beauty of the dunes.

We can't say enough about how thankful Nathan, Martin & I are for the chance to join our friends & play in the sand.
